I had a wonderful stay at Umeya Annex Guest House. the owner of the guest house was incredibly kind and helpful. He even offered to pick us up from the train/bus station when we called, which was a fantastic service. the Japanese-style breakfast included in the stay was absolutely delicious. the futon provided in the room was very comfortable, and the surprise view of Mount Fuji from the balcony was breathtaking. We also took advantage of the complimentary bicycles and went for a scenic cycle around the lake. this guest house provided great value for money and exceeded my expectations.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes! 😊

Stunning Views: Imagine waking up to a breathtaking vista of majestic Mt. Fuji, standing tall like a silent guardian. It's like having a front-row seat to a nature's masterpiece, with the pagoda adding an extra touch of elegance. It's as if cherry blossoms are personally delivered to your window by a gentle breeze.

Amazing host! We arrived late at night and the owner kindly picked us up. He even blessed us and gave us an amulet before our climb to Mt. Fuji. The homemade Japanese breakfast was delicious. Biking around the lakes was a must-do. an incredible experience!

This traditional Japanese guest house offers a truly authentic experience. The owner is incredibly hospitable, providing pick-up and drop-off service, cooking delicious home-cooked Japanese breakfasts, and offering valuable recommendations for places to go and eat. The rooms are neat and tidy, with some even featuring balconies overlooking the magnificent Mt Fuji. Guests can enjoy the comfort of private rooms, with shared showers available. The owner's warm and caring attitude, coupled with the beautiful surroundings, makes for a memorable stay.
The bathroom size is a bit small, lacking storage space.
